Product application
SURFACE PREPARATION All surfaces to which COLORSEALS are applied must be clean, free of grease, oil, dirt, dust, laitence, curing compounds, other foreign materials which may prevent bonding, and must be completely dry prior to COLORSEAL application. Multicoat KRETE KOTE, TOP COAT, and KOOL KRETE must be allowed to set up and cure for at least 24 to 48 hours before COLORSEAL application. New concrete should be allowed to cure for a minimum of 20 days, and be free from curing compounds, release agents if any, and other water repellent materials which may prevent proper bonding. APPLICATION Multicoat COLORSEALS must be applied in two thin coats First Coat - Mix COLORSEAL to uniformity with slow speed mixer. With continuous mixing, add clean water in ratio of 1 part to 3 parts COLORSEAL. Apply diluted COLORSEAL with nap roller with very firm pressure. (1/2" nap roller for smooth and 3/4" nap roller for rough surfaces.) Allow a minimum of one (1) hour to dry. (Note: ACRATHANE Clear Sealers are applied in one or two coats full strength. DO NO DILUTE ) Second Coat - DO NOT DILUTE COLORSEAL! Mix to uniformity only. Apply with firm pressure. DO NOT APPLY THICKER THAN RECOMMENDED! Airless sprayer may be used for final coat.
